The Simpleton's guide to TG Sepat=)

Yesterday Sept 1st, Danny's parents decided to visit the Sepang Gold Coast. For those with no idea where that is; you gotta go here http://www.sepanggoldcoast.com/.

As some of u may know; I've decided to become a couch potato at home during the festive season as KL quickly becomes a dead city once Raya is here and everybody goes back to their hometowns.

I wanted to go back too but honestly; I couldn't face the humidity and frustration of being imprisoned in ur car while it stays immobile in heavy traffic.

However; there was an unexpected plan and v decided to cruise down the highway towards the Sepang Gold Coast.

V started relatively late; at about 11.Yep; hot sun.

As v didn't eat any breakfast; v decided to grab some snacks as both Dan and I sat at the back.

Prawn Crackers from his house...
Muruku Individual packets and a big ass bottle of water. This consists of my breakfast and his.

Then v became the 4 heroes and heroines on our way towards the coastal line to challenge the beach views and sea food.

The heroes and heroines...

Mr Tan. He is a racer in his younger days LOL

Mrs Tan.She has decided that this Ane San sitting way is the best to get more air and avoid hot sun.

Danny Tan. He has an immense love for world peace as you may witness here.

The author who writes this blog.

In about an hour; we reached Sg Pelek. I have no idea where they got the inspiration for that name but who's to complain right? V don't stay here anyway.

The heroes and heroines now needed to replenish some energy so v visited the coffee shop that was famous for its fishball noodles. However; it wasn't open so v opted for chu cheong fun and beverages.

The coffee shop. The food and drinks were nothing much to scream about but considered cheap compared to KL.

The toilet was very clean; much to my surprise to a standard coffee shop. However; some jokers decided to leave a nasty surprise of a male underwear on top of the flush. Wondered what happened to him.

Afterwards v decided to head towards a famous seafood place in Tanjung Sepat for a stroll on the bridge and some local seafood lunch.

I don't really want to share the name of the place as the food wasn't that good and the place was hot and uncomfortable due to the smell. However; it was crowded to the brink with ppl. We had to stand and wait for a long time with this crowd.

They were posing as they waited for their turns to be given some service.

We all decided to come back at a later time when the crowd would be lesser. The next stop; we visited the Ghano Farm for LingZhi. I bought some facial cream and some souvenirs for my parents while Danny's parent bought some sweets and some tea from the place.

They have a homestay in the ghano farm. I have no idea what they serve though.

Man made fountain inside...

and some display of mushrooms.

There was also a woman packaging the mushrooms as v prepared to leave the area.

V have become increasingly impatient due to the heat and hunger so v decided to visit a place famous for chinese buns.

Once we were there; the buns weren't ready so v sat down and chose some fried stuff that included some fried soft shell crab.

Only the beancurd and the fishballs were okay to me. The rest of the heroine and heroes said the pink glutinous rice with salty stuffings were good too. The crab sucks as it wasn't fried long enough and Danny had to keep spitting the shells out for being too hard and impossible to eat.

The buns came out and it almost seemed as if they were gold because ppl were rushing to buy them while the cashier kept shouting "Deng Yi Sia!" all over the buns and spitting a lot into them too. V lost our appetite after that and decided not to have any buns aft all.

btw that meant wait a while in mandarin.

After that; we decided to pay a second visit to the seafood place and little did v know v still had to wait for a place.

I took some pictures of an open air karaoke while v waited for a place.

This was connected to the so called bridge and loads of ppl were waiting there on the benches.

We finally got a seat after a while and ordered 5 dishes which were miserable. They came in small portions and v were pissed. For so little food with not such a good taste it totaled to RM59. It wasn't costly but the food was not up to our expectations after waiting for an hour when our orders were placed.

Hot and bothered; v decided to head towards the Gold Coast for a stroll. On the way back to the car; we walked past some local stores selling products and caught sight of some sea shells.

Pretty cool looking there huh?

Once v were at the gold coast and the sea side resort; we were pretty disappointed as the resort was closed to visitors by 4pm.

V drove towards the seaside and found the place crowded with foreigners throwing rubbish by the shores and naked kids running around. It was a big turn off really.

The seaside.

We decided to drive further towards Bagan Lalang and found the beach there cleaner and better looking than the one next to it.

Pretty View huh?

After a while of watching tourists walking around and playing by the seaside; we left the place and headed back to KL city.

On the way back, we captured the pretty sunset and that pretty much wraps up the trip.

It wasn't a bad trip but v didn't really enjoyed it as much as we should have. Anyways; thanks for reading and hope u liked this post^^

  1. Nice post.. It brought me back to my childhood memory.. The bun shop was extremely famous when I was young.. Now not too sure coz I never have chance to go there since I'm currently settle down in Kuching.. Maybe I should spend sometime bring my family there one day, excluded of the food stalls :)
    Thanks for the sharing
